This scale is well designed for the most part. Its easy to clean, and works well. There’s been some comments about the battery life in this unit. I’ve owned Taylor scales before which use the same batteries. I agree that they do seem to go through batteries fairly quickly, but 1 to 3 weeks seems to quickly. I’ve had mine for a month and have not had to change them yet. I weigh myself about once to twice a day, every day. Overall, I would probably buy this scale again if I could find it anywhere.

Unreliable. Eats expensive batteries. Instructions not particularly informative. Website useless. I’m not spending my life troubleshooting a scale just because it looks cool. Back to the old trusted but rusted analog.

Taylor Scale 7082 Review
Even though I thought this was a little expensive for +$70, I bought this scale for my father. My dads vision has really declined over the last two years, and the Newline Talking Scale we bought for him a while back was junk.
The accuracy on this scale was nearly spot on to the last two DRs visits dad had, & the talking feature provides a very clear voice – clear enough that when I stepped on it with my eyes closed I could understand the weight reading. It has a nice Blue Bar that lights up near the top of the unit that my dad says he uses when he is stepping on it. Unlike other talking scales out there, this one is quite an attractive unit. The Silver “Border” gives it a unique and very nice appearance.
I really think you get what you pay for – and this one was worth the extra $ we paid for the 1) Voice & 2) Accuracy we needed for dad.

At first glance, it is not easy to determine that this scale from Taylor is a body fat scale. The body fat electrodes are invisible on the glass platform, giving a clean, clear look to the scale. The platform is larger than most to accommodate most foot sizes, yet still allows for a clear view of the readout. Yet, this is an accurate body fat scale as well it measures body fat and body water to the precise 0.1%, and operates in normal or athlete mode (athlete mode is for highly fit individuals, exercising more than 10 hours per week). 10 memories store the personal set up data. Two lines of data (weight and body measurements) display together on the two line 1.6 readout. The tempered glass platform is 8mm thick and feels stable. Taylor Scale 5757 Review
I bought this scale just to use for weight. I didn’t really need to body fat function. The scale is great. It is very accurate. It also gives your weight in 10th of a pound. It will flash a few different (but very close) numbers before it “sticks” the final number. I’m not sure the other reviewer waited for the final number. It just takes a few seconds. I am now using the body fat function. I had to go online to find out what a healthy body fat is for me. I wish a chart had been included in the directions.

Unlike other reviewers, the problem I had with this scale is that the weight seemed to “stick” when there would be a slight variation in weight. When I weighed myself every morning, the weight would be the same number. The number will only change when the weight difference would be about 2 lbs or so. I bought the scale to track my weight gain during my pregnancy, and the scale made it like I gained 2-3 lbs in a day, and the weight would be consistent for over weeks. I didn’t know that was the problem with the scale at first, and I thought it was just my weird weight gain, until I weighed my two nieces, K and L. They both are close in weight, but I know they don’t have the same weight. However, when I weighed K, the scale would register 36.5 lbs. I weighed L, her weight would also say 36.5 lbs. However, if I weighed K first, then weighed myself (a lot more than the 40 lbs range 
), then weighed L, L’s weight would be 37.6 lbs. Now if I put the K back on the scale right after L, K would weigh at 37.6 lbs, same as L’s. Unless, of course, I weighed myself in between, then K’s weight would consistently be 36.5 lbs, and L’s weight would always be 37.6 lbs. I tested this lots of times, with different individuals, and the results are always the same.
So, if you are looking for a scale that would give your approximate weight, within 2-3 lbs, then this is a pretty good scale. However, if you want to use this scale to track your weight gain/loss (pregnancy, diet, etc.), it might be misleading.

This scale is working out well for tracking my weight loss, but more importantly for keeping my husband on track with his fluids as he training for a marathon. Loss of fluids can be an issue for those who run, but running in Florida in the record heat we have had makes this bath scale, that is acurate to tenths and reveals not only body fat, but water, a life saver.
